Common

Key New Features

• The New Home Tab

  The updated Home Tab includes the following features:

  • What’s New: Shows new features available in the most current 3D Sprint Release.

  • News Feed:  The latest information on 3D Systems printing technology, highlighted customer usage stories, upcoming
    trade shows and webinars, and the latest new products.

  • Featured Products - Highlight featured products developed by 3D Systems under Products & Support section.

  • Filter - An option to prioritize preferred 3D Systems news by printer technology or industry.

  • Add Favorite - The new Add Favorite feature keeps files at the top of the recent files list..

  • Drag and Drop - Users can now drag and drop files on the Home tab to Import/Open files in 3D Sprint.

 

Configurable Reports 

• Material cost estimates in report

  Material cost estimate calculations can be included in the report.

• Configurable Part Properties

  Part properties are configurable in report with option to Select All and Clear All within Part properties dialog.

• Individual Part Estimates for Figure4 and SLA in the Report

  Individual part estimates for Figure4 and SLA.

• Material Mix per Shell in Report (multi-material MJP only)

  Report displays material mix per shell.

• Storing and migrating presets from Report tool

  Presets can be migrated and stored from the Report Tool.

• Additional Printer Information Report Log

  A submenu under Printer Info with the checkbox "Additional Printer Information"  includes these attributes to printer report: 

  • Device Status

  • Installed Materials

  • Scale Factors, Offsets, ECM & HSM data in configuration (MJP)

 

Feature Improvements

• Theming

  Background color and grid color can be customized to improve contrast and visibility of models in 3D view. The preset colors can
  be updated in Preferences under General Settings.

• Autoplace (Pro Subscription)

  Rotate from Principal Axis allows to apply certain degrees of rotation around Z-axis of part while placing parts on the printer platform.

• New mapping mode for Engrave tool

  New Wrapping 2D feature allows engraving to preserve text direction when placed on an object.

• Selection tools added in Extrude command (Pro Subscription)

  Selection tools have been added to Extrude command, such as Crease Angle, Lasso and Box.

• Changed minimum range of shell thickness in Thicken tool

  The value of the Thicken tool can now be reduced to a lower minimum increment value for finer details.

• Expand text box defaults support to other commands

  Defaults for text boxes added in Supports Command (Noise, Struts, Quality Check, EggShell, Stem/Arrange, Vents/Drains/Holes).

• Option to repair files on import (dental customer)

  Files have the option to be repaired once imported into 3D Sprint.

 

UX/UI Improvements

• Middle Mouse Button Menu

  By clicking on the object, the Middle Mouse Button provides a menu configured with the following commands:

  • Hide

  • Show This Only

  • Delete

  • Duplicate

  • Set Rotation Center

  • Export Mesh

  • Group/Ungroup

  • Import Support (SLA & Figure4 only)

• UI Improvements to Acknowledgements

  User interface update to Acknowledgements with capability to copy text to clipboard.

• Highlight Reference Part in Align parts tool

  Highlights the first selected part as the reference part in tool.

• Show paths to .iniml files in tooltips

  Path is now available to locate .iniml files within a tooltip in the Preferences Dialog.

• Add ability to generate application snapshots from 3D Sprint

  This feature allows to generate application snapshots without using 3rd party software. Using Alt-P, the resulting image saves in a snapshots subfolder as a .png file.

 

SLA

Key Improvements

• PSLA 270 Updates for 2025.2

  • Implemented Scale and Offset wizard for PSLA 270 to be able to calibrate build styles to the printer.

  • Reference models updated for PSLA 270 Printer.

  • Custom names can be added to Selected Region for PSLA 270 Printer.

• Tooltip Default Parameter Values

  Tool tip in Smart support and Build style shows default parameter values of standard styles.

 

MJP

Key Improvements

• User defined infills

  Infills can be assigned by the user in the regular grid or to subparts for MJP Printer.

• Gap Clearance and Wall Thickness in QC Tool

  QC Tool now includes additional presets for Gap Clearance and Wall Thickness for 300W printer.

 

SLS

Key Improvements

• Slicer & Configuration Files Improvement

  • New slicer (sinter 7.10) for SLS380 to support Fine Feature Preservation ond offsets on small features.

  • Added Right to Left sorting option in Scan Order tool under Basic license.

  • Sinter 7.8 has new material configuration updates for SLS6100.

• Stacking Tool Enhancement

  Creating a Stack now allows you to drag base parts onto platform without having to close the command.

• Gusset tool Enhancement

• Improved gusset generation algorithm

• The Gusset Visualization tool is added in Smart Supports section for Gate supports

• Improved gusset generation algorithm

  The Gusset Visualization tool is added in Smart Supports section for Gate supports.

• Expand Text Box Defaults to virtual label command

  Text boxes in virtual label tool now show range and default values.

• Last User Option Selection in Smart Support

  Smart Support retains the last user options when relaunching the Smart Support Tab.

• Deleting Multiple Build Styles

  Select and Delete allows the option to delete multiple build styles within the build tab all at once.
